ISLAMABAD: The government has allowed sacked chief justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) President Aitzaz Ahsan and former SCBA president Justice (r) Tariq Mehmood to celebrate Eid and offer Eid prayers anywhere in the country.The Punjab Home Department withdrew detention orders of Aitzaz on Wednesday. His wife Bushra Aitzaz told Daily Times that she had moved an application with the Punjab Home Department for Aitzaz’s release on the eve of Eidul Azha. Caretaker Interior Minister Hamid Nawaz Khan said permission had been granted after the applications of Iftikhar, Aitzaz and Tariq to the ministry had been approved. He said they would be put under house arrest once again after Eid due to “security reasons”. staff report/online
