LAHORE: THE \u2018deposed\u2019 judges will not take oath without the reinstatement of \u2018deposed\u2019 Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, said president Supreme Court Bar Association Aitzaz Ahsan.<\/p>\n
Addressing a reception of Liberty Market traders on Thursday evening, he said if they (deposed judges) took oath without Justice Iftikhar, they would be considered as the PCO-judges and they would be named as Sharif-ud-Din Pirzada.<\/p>\n
He said the lawyers did not want the parliament to pass a resolution for the restoration of judges but it was important because it would show parliamentary support to the executive order the government would make in this regard.<\/p>\n
He said the lawyers also did not want to launch a long-march but would have no choice if the government failed to restore the judges.<\/p>\n
Mr. Aitzaz also warned that if the so-called Supreme Court made any order against the process of the restoration of the judges, the lawyers would come out all over Pakistan.<\/p>\n
Traders, lawyers, students and people from all walks of life gathered to hear Mr Ahsan and chanted slogans against General Musharraf.<\/p>\n
Representatives of traders, Lahore High Court Bar Association president Anwar Kamal, Lahore Bar Association president Manzoor Qadir and SCBA media adviser Mohammad Azhar were also present.<\/p>\n
